Contains images from Road's End beach tide pooling in North Lincoln City, Oregon USA, Depot Bay's tiny harbor, Siletz Bay and Cape Foulweather further south. This is special to me because they were taken around the times both my sons, Orion and Joshua, got married.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite picture of all of these. They're great! Pictures 139s.jpg and 255s.jpg are my favorites, as they show a father and his son (139s.jpg) having a good time together, and 255s.jpg shows the son, with his car, and only a few days before his wedding. What can the father tell his son, about life, about the sea, about how life can be like an ocean. Smooth sailing at some times, and yet so rough at other times that even the waves hurt from slamming onto the rocks so hard. Between these there are spaces of life where there is a chance to see other life while the waves are calm, and the tide is out. The varity of life living among the rocks is amazing. Different colors and shapes, with creatures that look to be from another place and time.
Picture 011s.jpg I also like real well. Is this young man who is about to be married, thinking about this bridge? Does he wonder what is on the other side of the bridge? Life will become different as he crosses the bridge into manhood and marriage. I want the young man and his Bride to be, to find real happiness , as they cross the bridge together, and become husband and wife. I also love the ocean and beach scenes, the whole package is excellent!
