Spencer Cabin was built in the early 1900's by John Ingram who had been born in 1842 and was later wounded at the battle of Chancellorsville in 1863. William Glen and Hester Spencer lived in this cabin from 1936 until Hester's death in 1990. It was later relocated to Grayson Highlands and had its chimney reconstructed.
