This is the first image I've been able to get since adding a Paracorr to my imaging system. The field is now much flatter and coma free! Compare the image with the following M33 without Paracorr image to see the effect of the gizmo.
The image is a stack of 11 five minute subs at ISO 800, processed in Paint Shop Pro. Using an idea from Stan Moore of the Canon Digital Astrophotography Group on Yahoo that the H beta traces the H alpha emissions, the green channel was used as a dodge layer for the red. After a little thresholding the channels were recombined giving the final image. This has the effect of bumping up the red in the h alpha regions that was lost due to the unmodified camera.
