On July 13, 2007, I drove through Glacier National Park and stopped occasionally to photograph the landscape. As has occurred every day in June and July, the air is filled with haze, perhaps from various wildfires throughout the United States, with vehicle particulates, road dust, and smog adding to the mix. The clarity of calender and postcard pictures tells of clean air we may never see again, or rarely in years to come. Nonetheless, the vistas in Glacier are spectacular, being there invigorates, focuses the spirit in beneficial ways.

Since July 13, the air in Glacier National Park and nearby locales - indeed, in numerous Montana regions - has been tainted by smoke from wildfires, which are quite numerous in this lovely state. Often, the State of Montana and the National Forest Service issue public statements about the toxicity of air polluted with smoke from wildfires.

Many photos were taken at SanSuzEd RV Park near West Glacier and Glacier National Park.

On November 23, I returned to Estes Park and soon had visited Rocky Mountain National Park, having driven 4,623 miles since departing on May 22. The last photo in this gallery shows Heather the Camper Van as she and I spent moments in Moraine Park.
