The photos include a shot with the Fz50 set to 35mm plus the DMW-LT55 (a 1.7 teleconverter by Panasonic), then a shot with the Fz50 set at 420mm plus the 1.7, then a second shot (which includes boat, pier, and people) again with the Fz50 set at 420mm plus the 1.7.

The Lumix Fz50 with the Panasonic DMW-LT55 telephoto lens attached was resting on my flattened hand, which was upon a flat railing. Probably not as stable as a beanbag, but close. The camera was set to IS-2 (Image Stabilization, mode 2).

Images after the first four in this gallery were shot with the Fz50 mounted on a tripod. The shutter release was presumed to introduce enough camera movement so that Image Stabilization set to IS-2 would work. Spot autofocus worked fine with the DMW-LT55 attached, as did spot light metering.

On Thursday, Sept 14 07, the Fz50 with and without the DMW-LT55 was very useful along the Hidden Lake trail in Glacier National Park. Most of the Fz50 DMW-LT55 shots are included in this gallery. The Fz50 DMW-LT55 shots taken on that hike have made me quite delighted to have the two items in my photo toolbox.
