this species is one of our older plants
it has done quite well in recent years, giving us its best show ever
what it lacks in odor, it makes up for with its extravagent colors

thanks for stopping by I enjoyed visiting your web galleries ...many exquisite orchids there & beautifully photographed we have had this productive plant for many years and believe it to be den New Guinea which is a primary hybrid of Den atroviolaceum x macrophyllum, which may explain why you thought it was macrophyllum
