Idea was to reduce work - too much of manual work otherwise

Steps:

1. I just kept the red channel and converted to Greyscale, set black point using curves
2. Selected the original text, deleted it
3. Added new text in a similar font (you really need to select the right font,
I just took an approximate)
3.5: To get the 'jagged text effect' I just set blend mode to outer glow and size of glow to 0
4. Deleted the right plane (too much of reflection behind it)
5. copied left plane to right, flipped it
6. Masked away the line on the right between the two pilots + some minor whites
in other places(the manual part)
7. Created a new solid fill layer with brown, added noise, mode lighten

NOTE: In final rendition:
a) Select the right font
b) ensure the spacing is correct - I did not pay full attention to spacing of text and images
