For me, it's really refreshing to enjoy rujak during hot summer.
The freshness of fruits mix with the sweet and spicy-hot sauce.
One bowl not enough...
Ingredients:
Fruits, sliced:
Green apple
Pineapple
Cucumber
Raw mango
Raw papaya
Star Fruit
Water apple
Sauce:
250 gr coconut sugar
3-5 bird chili
1/2 tsp cooked shrimp paste
Tamarind
Salt
Fried minced peanuts, for topping
How to make:
Sauce:
Pestle all ingredients of sauce in the mortar.
The taste should be sweet and spicy-hot.
Pour the sauce in the serving bowl or just keep it in the mortar.
Add fried minced peanuts as topping.
Dipped fruits in the sauce.
