My name is Preston Talbott. My father is John Patrick Talbott, My grandfather is John Wesley Talbott of Yale Oklahoma and 1 of 10 children. His father's (my great grandfather) name is Merle Albert Talbott. I don't know much about his parents, but i know he was originally from Kansas I believe. I can't find any information on Merle's siblings or parents anywhere on the internet. I have managed to find tons of information on the Talbotts overall. Merle and his parents have fit into the tree somewhere. Perhaps in the Kansas, Nebraska, or Indiana area. It would be awesome if you could help me out!

Interesting site.I grew up in Roseann from 1954 to 1966..attended the Roseann school and our father followed the leckie coal company to Anjean West Virginia, a sister town to Roseann i would say. my name is Pete McCoy, iam 56 yrs old now..dad was Ellord T. McCoy, his brother was Walter McCoy, they were from Tazwell Va. . very interesting site..Anjean is still trying to mine coal now but not too successful.

Hi, William Smith Cashdollar and wife Margaret Richarrdson are my 3rd great grandparents. Their daughter married into the Staples family. When my grandpa Frank C. Staples died in 1991 I made the trip back to Butler from Las Vegas, NV. We made a quick stop at Old Union Pres Cemetery. Has anyone done a book or index of persons buried there? Hi Ed, my name is Edward Russell Talbott, Jr. I was born in Washington DC and my family came from the Maryland area. My father was Edward. Sr. (1910-1989) He married Alice N. Foley in 1936 (1910-1971) and my grandfather was Benjamin Earle Talbott. (d. 1943 ish) married Mary Hamilton. I have no other records of Talbott family history other than that it was a very large family in the Maryland area.

Dear Ed, Your website is great! My Mother was Anna Mary Talbott 12/04/1904 - 01/05/2003. Her parents were William Kinsey Talbott, born 1879 - Died 1949 and Laura Crew 12/29/1877 - 09/06/1970. Grandparents William M. and Mary E. Talbott. Great Grandparents Kinsey M. and Cariline E. Lawrence. Great GP were Joseph Talbott and Mary Farquhar. Mother is listed on Wikipedia under Anna Talbott McPherson. I'm a retired Banker living in North Canton, OH. 1-330-499-5530

Do you know by any chance if Alexander's parents were Samuel and Mary Isabella Day Purvis??? Hello, I sure that many of you will be ecstatic to hear what I am about to tell you! I recently disoverd a huge (2' x 3') complete family tree that details the talbots, the burkets, the johns, the plummers, farquhars, etc. from the 1760s up through Joseph Talbott marrying Mary Burket in 1809. If the administrator of this site will give me their email ( I couldn't find it here) I will email them some detailed photos of it for posterity before I end up eventually selling it.q

I am married to Joyce Talbott Torrence whose Grandfather was a Westley Talbott born around 1865 and lived until 1964. We are wonderiing if you would have family information that you would share. Joyce was not close to her parents and information we have is limited. Westley was a "colorful Charecter" and went to the gold rush in the Yukon making enough money to come down to Oregon to open a Coca Cola bottling works in Tillamook, Oregon and then retiring to Harrisburg, Oregon on a farm for which he paid cash until her passed on. Where was Mary Farquhar's headstone? I have a family tree print showing her married to Joseph Talbott. If it is the same woman she would be my great, great, great grandmother. Found my same tree @ diannesfamilytree.com but that site is no longer operating (I Googled Talbott, which is how I found this site) My father, James, was raised in Crestline, OH. Hi Ed. I don't know if you remember me; I'm José Rolan Talbott from San Pedro Sula Honduras, C. A. we crossed some emails 2 years ago when I found your site. I been searching since a while the source of my last name here in Honduras and all that I found was Edward Talbott from England came to chetumal bay on Mexico and after his ship stucked he stay a while and get married with Elena Rabatu Robinson, then they moved to Honduras and on November 1st, 1880 his first child Arthur Benjamin Talbott (1880-1962) born. Arthur (a.k.a. Don Arturo) was my grand grand grand father and he was the pioneer on the rail road construction at early years of 20th century. The ancestors of Edward Talbott, we doesn't have any records of they, and can't trace our surname far from him. Your site is awesome. Congratulations Best regards Rolan Talbott

Any relation to Caleb Plummer, born 1806 Maryland, married Rebecca Pittenger 1831, Wayne County OHIO...some connection with the undergroumd railroad, perhaps...US Civil War service, perhaps. Any connection? Thanks.
