Micelle and I, along with John and Montana Cox and Stratton Hatfield birded Raven Run Park for the Lexington CBC Saturday. The birding was about as slow as I've ever seen it there and I could not turn up any unusual sparrows, a Creeper, or a Winter Wren this year. The fungi along the trails made up for the slow birding with lots of different varieties on display. That afternoon, Michelle and I headed up to the Lexington Cemetery to look for the White-winged Crossbills again (we missed them last time) but did not find any Crossbills as the first rains of the day started. I did post a couple pictures of Waxwings here that I took in the cemetery a couple weeks ago when we looked the first time.
