I arrived in HK 1977-78, and i am sure they had not long finished putting the final touches to the CONNAUGHT centre. And at that was the tallest building at that time. xxx

When I was there in 74 this was the Connaught Centre. I'm sure it was the tallest building at the time. It was in the Man with The Golden Gun too.

I was in elementary school in the early 80s. The building with the circular windows was the Furama Hotel with a rotating skytop restaurant. I wonder what it is now. Pretty sure the building still exists, since I recall seeing it in recent photos, dwarfed by the modern skyscrapers.

I worked in one of the buildings in Queen's Road East in Central at one time. I was in a lift with about 16 older Chinese women when it got stuck between floors. They started to freak out and it was quite scary.
