I lived on The Third Street in the fifties. I went to Ming Ying School on The Third Street. Just wonder did you went to the same school?

This picture is so touching to me. It suddenly recalls my long lost memory. I walked up this street every morning to when I was a kindergarten kid. This scene has evaded from my active memory from a very long time because when I was in primary school (starting from mid-80s), this street changed a little bit. The street vendors were no longer like this. The vendors on the right moved to the pavement and the street was no longer stone-paved but asphalt-paved and it became available to cars and pedestrians could no longer walk in the middle of the street like this.
But the moment I see this picture, I could suddenly remember how my mom took me walking up this street when I was 3-5 years old. I almost cannot believe the memory from my 5-year-old time still retains in my memory, though I've never been aware of that. It is so amazing and so touching!!!!! Thanks a lot, Tom.

When I looked at the picture of Water Street and 2nd Steet, it recalled my memory that I lived on Water Street when I was young.
You're probably right, Pokfulham Road is one street over and would have been busier with more traffic. It was over 25 years ago when I took this photo so memory is fading!! I'll update that caption. Thanks for your catch.
