I loved these shops, it was brilliant to see people working in the background on the products they were selling. I worked in one of the buildings on this street. Love it.

I had my ears pierced in one of these jewellery shops, just after my 16th birthday (1978).

These buildings in Queen's Road East, Wan Chai were vacated last year (2005). They will be protected.
The goldsmith shops on the left were in operation until they moved out last year.
