Pair of nesting ptarmigan who probably didn't realize their nest site would turn out to be right next to one of the tourist trails at Þingvellir, the most important cultural and maybe geological site in Iceland. The history of governing centered around this site is quite interesting esp for the time period (and as Americans with what we have been taught about the history of democracy).
