Santa Fe Spanish Market Through the Years

For sixty years the annual traditional Spanish Market takes place the last weekend in July. Along side this market is the Contemporary Hispanic Market which has been going on for nearly twenty-five years. At both of the markets one can view various styles of artwork from paintings, mixed media, santos, straw applique, colcha embroidery, tinwork, pottery, jewelry and various other art forms. These photos were taken from 2004-2008 and 2010-2011. Spanish Market is a lively event as one can take in the artwork along with various types of entertainment such as music, fashion shows presented by La Sociedad Folkorica de Santa Fe and dance from Maria Benitez's Flamenco's Next Generation.
A selection of these photos appeared in a five page spread in the July 2010 issue of New Mexico Magazine.
