Our 99th Independence Day

Today, Finland celebrates its 99th Independence Day. Various events and demonstrations are arranged along the day.

The celebrations culminate to the president's Independence Day reception at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki in the evening.

The image is from our Xmas Market in Tampere. Rainy morning yesterday, tonight we are supposed to get -17 C (1,4F)! Not sure if I want to go to shoot the fireworks!
