Ron Mueck is an internationally significant sculptor, whose works have never previously been exhibited in the Nordic countries.
Mueck is known for his hyper-realisctic, life-like figures. The exhibition in Tampere presents ten of his sculptures.
In his works, Mueck depicts people and humanity in general. His style is characterized by an astonishing feeling of reality and presence.
I found the exhibition very interesting and touching - but some of the sculputres were a little bit shocking.
