At Rest, Vandusen Botanical Gardens, Vancouver, Canada, 2003

My eyes were drawn to the beauty of this reflection, which shows all the color of autumn. The hard stones and soft leaves are so different from each other, but yet in this picture they join to become a vision of nature at rest. And whenever I look deeply into this image, I rest, as well.

****Nature at its most beautiful -- a very small scale landscape, making wonderful use of texture, rhythm, and color to allow to see it as we seldom have ever seen it. The rocks, the light, the color and the reflections all work together to create a feast for the eye. The only distraction is the URL floating in the water -- it disrupts the natural beauty of the scene. If you can repost this without the URL in it, it would be a much purer, cleaner image, Jen.
