Andy, I am certainly no authority on HDR , but you requested my feedback and thus my stop by your gallery, and to thank you for your kind words after your visit to mine.

1.) It is a personal preference, but I like Medium to High Light Smoothing rather than the Low you seemed to apply here.
2. Strength, Color Saturation are usually high for my shots and luminosity in the middle range. All that obviously depends, but on the average.
3.) Nice compositions.

4.) How do you get to travel around to all those cities?

Very cool!! The only thing I would do is buy the software or photoshop out the name so it does not take away from your photograph.

definitely- you have a good eye for the kinds of scenes that benefit from it. Also, it is very configurable as you may have seen- sometimes I make various versions, each one looking like a different photo. It has also given some of my former photos (shot in RAW) a new lease of life, bringing out the tones and attracting a lot more attention- like the orangutan you commented on. When I took that, I had no idea what HDR even was!
