Not having read info yet, I didn't know what to look at
and caught just the lower part of the formation at the right.
You can compare it against the full formation
in the Knoxville News Sentinel story photo, just previous.

it would be cool if they found some skeletons perhaps of animals and humans etc.

At first glance, it looks as if it is part of the landscape, however, upon further investigation you can see very defining features of flat surfaces which are not uniform to the terrain surrounding the site. Quite a persuasive photograph.
