This is a compact fluorescent light, blue tinted to remove most light from the red end of the spectrum. The shot was taken with a quartz (passes UV light) lens using a UV-pass filter. The settings were 200 ISO at 1/800th of a second. The lens was 75mm f1.5. What you notice is that it is a fair amount of UV coming off that light. As a substitute for incendescent, we might want to think twice about using them and go straight to LED.
