Murals by Salvador R. Torres

This mural painted by master muralist Salvador R. Torres, is located at 1935-1965 Harbor Drive in San Diego. It is about 560 feet long and 26 feet high. It depicts many different facets of life in San Diego, in particular its connection with the Pacific Ocean.
The mural took thirteen months to complete. Salvador R. Torres was assisted by his former wife (Gloria Rebolledo Torres) in the creation and painting of this mural. This gallery is best viewed using the slide show feature.

It has been a long time since I saw Salvatore and Gloria. We were friends. I thought about them as I was looking at the video I took of his tour to Chino Park and the dedication of their mural on Harbor Drive. I've kind of lost track of them. Maybe you can put me in touch. Murals are the beautiful urban art. These artists are incredibly talented and express themselves throught walls full of color and activities. I love to go around and document them. Sometime crop one portion become an abstract art. Your gallery is fantastic. V
