The night drive -- day 2 - lion kill zambia

It all kicked off here.....first the Baboons indicated by barking that a leopard was close...we found the cat but he was disturbed by the hyenas and left.

Then the big guys (lions) turned up to see what the fuss was all about. That sorted the hyenas who didn't hang around when one lion shuffled over in their direction.

With the coast clear the Lions then worked a wonderful ambush on a poor Puku which was simply devoured in short order. Nothing was left.

3 adult females got the kill but left little for the three younger cubs

Thankfully it was not antelope for tea for us!
