ST MARY'S CHURCH

Sullington - West Sussex

A Grade I Listed Building, the ancient village church which dates from the 11th century, stands at the end of a long lane north of the Downs. It is surrounded by ancient yew trees, the manor farmstead, and the old rectory. In 1987 the October storm blew down two of the old yew trees, damaging parts of the chancel roof and the north and east windows, which were repaired later at considerable cost.
