Alina

It was easy to spot this beautiful bird, because of its size somewhere between 12 and 16 inches. I was trying to find out what kind of bird it is and I found very useful website http://www.whatbird.com/ according to them, it is Broad-winged Hawk.

It is the expressive body language of the hawk that makes this image work, Alina. It is more than just a description -- it expresses a value that humans can appreciate: wariness.

Beautiful pose, it looks like that it has cold despite of the sunlight.
You are right, it's a Broad-winged Hawk, an adult light morph.

Super shot Alina... magnifique. They're actually pretty difficult to spot. From this angle it's easy, but against a tree as a backgroud, the colors melts into the colors of the tree bark and their camouflage is such that you'd walk right beside it, and not see it.
Very well composed.
