St. Wulframs

A simple shot with a simple camera. All I did was set the tripod up and release the shutter on the self timer, what could be easier!

This is St.Wulframs church which is about 270 feet high. I remember climbing the seemingly endless spiral staircase, as a young lad on a school trip, to the base of the spire. What a view we had from up there. I also remember being scared stiff as the parapit barely came up to waist height! There was no alternative but to gingerly sidestep all around with my back firmly planted against the spire until I made it back to the door which lead back down. What an experience!

I know of one particular PotD traveller that will be interested in this one. Related to the lady with the legs, this is for you!

It went right over my head that this was for me. I guess I'm just daft. But I'm chuffed that you put this up for me. ;) I enjoyed your story associated with this photo.

Now this is fab! It's great that people put lighting rigs up to highlight buildings and spires just so other's can come along and photograph it! Marvellous!!! ;)

And this is a great example of the "image by association" that I was talking about in the pad forum, for tomorrow! Thanks, Ian!

Well, the set up may have been easy, but the image is indeed good.

Judging by this, I guess you don't need your 10D anymore - could you please send it to me with your wonderful glass collection :-)
Great shot and well done Ian

Lovely shot, Ian. I hope you'll climb the steps again someday and show us the view!
