Hot Stuff Theme Week #4

Today's "Hot Stuff" pic is a traditional snack-time meal of Beans On Toast. Maybe not really what you'd call hot stuff but this is BoT with a difference... For a start off the toast is home made Tomato Foccacia with green olives and sundried tomatoes. The beans have been spiced up a tad with a generous teaspoon of Cajun spice, some mixed herbs and a touch of garlic (granules for speed). And to top it off a generous portion of extra mature cheddar and grilled until brown and bubbling. BoT will never be the same again!

This sounds odd but really good, all things I like, so why not together?! Is this also a Delia recipe? Great photo!

...and people laughed at my 'hot' beans on toast. Not as clever as yours, just the regular BoT + a big splash of Encona chilli sauce. I guess I'm just a beginner!

Ian, my initial recation was UGH! Perhaps you will understand if I tell you that the last time I had BoT was in July 1969 when I had to on a school youth hostel trip. Either eat them or starve they said, and I was too much of a wimp. To that extent, it was a bit like being in the Army! However, you have so many yummy ingredients in this one, I could probably manage it if I were blindfolded beforehand :-)
