It's left overs for lunch today. Cold topside of beef with a salad of plum cherry tomatoes and marinated olives. It just needed some basil or a handful of rocket but we didn't have any left over!

Great little composition, here, Ian - and the DOF is perfect for this shot. Excellent! :)

Great looking leftovers. Thanks for the flash explanation.. one of these days I'm going to get an external flash. :) Now I have to go and get something to eat.. and it won't be nearly this tasty.

Ian - you're making me want to run to the market, and buy some olives....mmm *ok mouth watering now*

Well spotted Mark! As you can just see there are two catch lights in the tomato. The one on the right is from the 420EX fired into a brolly fairly close, you can just make it out in the reflection. The other flash is a 550EX with a Stofen bounced off the ceiling at a reduced output as I couldn't be bothered to rig up the other brolly. Both flashes are controlled with a wireless controller that fits into the hotshoe... Santa was very generous this year!!

Nice composition and colors. The EXIF info says with "flash." Do you have a second flash going or a bounce reflector? The shadows are not what I would expect from on camera flash. The main light appears to be coming from the right. And it's soft so I would think it's a pretty big light source or very close. Tell me more...

Very nice, those olives look delicious, and I like the depth of field here!
