Not all firefighting is dramatic. This Cat 1 tanker from Exeter Brigade of the Rural Fire Service was stationed at a chicken farm as a precaution in case of an expected deterioration of weather with high winds predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology. Here, Sam and Janis are taking one of a series weather measurements to monitor local conditions. These readings are often requested by operations controllers to track conditions over a larger area.
