Taken around the same as the next image in the gallery, I captured this from a fire truck while travelling through a just burned area. Vegetation was still smouldering.

This image has not been created by post production. For no apparent reason we came upon individual tress which escaped being burned despite all the vegetation around being incinerated. Fire behaviour is a complex phenomenon.
