There was a lot of rubbish on the beach where this boy and his friends were playing. The boy picked up the plastic propeller, and held it in front of his face; I took one photo; and then the boy threw the propeller away and it broke into many pieces. I like the fact that the boy chose how this photograph should look, and that as soon as I'd taken it it could not be taken again.
