Rainbow at Sawmill Peak, Magalia, California, April 5, 2010

An early April storm gave way to changeable skies and showers mixed with sunshine in Butte County, California on April 5, 2010. At about 7:15 p.m., with a few droplets of water still falling, the setting sun in the Western sky cast its light to the east, lighting up the vista on Coutolenc Road in Magalia, and making Sawmill Peak, one of the area's fire lookouts, stand in rainbow-splashed majesty. Very little adjustments were made to these images - no added color, no sharpening, no extra contrast. This is the way it looked! Images by Alan Sheckter / AlSheck@comcast.net.
