A second tribute concert took place Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the Paradise (Calif.) Performing Arts Center for Norton Buffalo, harmonica player extraordinaire, longtime prominent session player, bandleader, songwriter, producer, 34-year Steve Miller sidekick, husband, and for the past several years, an outspoken advocate for the people and town of Paradise, which he called home for the past several years. He passed away on Oct. 30. Guest musicians appearing at the benefit for the PPAC (the first show, on Nov. 22, benefited Norton's wife, Lisa), included Maria Muldaur, Barry Melton, David and Linda LaFlamme, Maurice "Big Mo" Huffman, Carlos Reyes, and many more.
