Light my fire

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire

The Doors

NOTE: Unlike the other works in this gallery where
I've done the photos specifically thinking on a particular
song, with this one the opposite happened.
I took the photo and it was after I've seen it
that this old song from the Doors came to mind.
I guess that things can work both ways :)

(this is a straight from the camera shot, I've
just resized it for Pbase, not even the slightest
photoshoping on this one. I guess I am more of
a dark photos person... I don't know but I think
they always turn out better... or maybe not :D)

How come I missed this one? What an awesome SP, even more impressive that it had no pp work! Perfectly matched to the timeless lyrics of the Doors. You are too good Ana! :-)

Very good , you really excell at low light some of the best on p base. Love the highlights in the eyes, dreamy looks and posture. Gmv.

I am also fascinated by this dress Ana - it reminds me of the mysteries and the riches of the stories from the Thousand and One Nights. Your pictures often have those beautiful warm colours.

Once again, great SP Ana, wonderful idea... I love the light on your beautiful dress! And the sparkle in your eyes, of course!
Guest 18-Sep-2006 17:22
I may weakly ignite a passion in your eyes, but not in your hours.Because I am without vigor to cast a glimmer beyond your grasp.Quivering tenderly beside your breath.Which may overwhelm my candle flicker of love into a spectre of smoke at any moment.
Chris Sofopoulos18-Sep-2006 14:11
The proportion of light here is exactly the appropriate.
Beautiful shot Ana.

Ouaahh - what happend with the thumb of your left hand Ana ??? ;)
So - the doors are never my favorite band, cause I don`t like organs with rock bands! The lyrics with the picture works perfect together though! The "dark" mood in your work is indescribable beautiful! And I love the light on your face and the sparklets in your eyes!

Great tribute to one of my all-time favourite bands (prefer them to The Beatles any day - heresy, I know!). I have to say though that the almost tearful mood is at odds with the lyrics. It looks like your flame it about to be extinguished. Great catchlights in your eyes, here.

Great picture Ana! magical light.

Brava Ana!
And the sparkle in your eyes reminds me of a certain guitarist, a friend of yours... ;-)

Oh I like this very much. Yes dark is good...but I'm biased ;-)) Who needs ISO3200 when you can take photos like this...do you practice being stil...even the flame isn't blurred. Wonderful imagination. K
