Kona - Our Goldendoodle Puppy (PaD)

A Goldendoodle is a cross between a Poodle and a Golden Retriever. Kona's mother is the Retriever and his father is a Miniature Poodle. He was born June 16, 2004 and we brought him home on August 15. Kona came from Fox Creek Farm formerly in Mount Airy, Maryland, now in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. Fox Creek's web site at http://www.goldendoodles.net is a great resource for anyone interested in Goldendoodles. UPDATE - January 30, 2005: Kona would like to thank all of his friends and fans around the world for helping to make his site one of Pbase's Most Popular Sites. FURTHER UPDATE - With much sadness, we regret to report that Kona passed away on September 7, 2017.

Abby, our 6 month old, is a carbon copy of your beautiful Kona. Amazing how you've captured the Goldendoodle expressive moments. Great to know there is another wild sweet canine spirit just like Abby and to see how your family loves Kona so much. Where do they get all that energy? Such similar behaviors - our dogs might have been twins in another lifetime. Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos. Abby grows like a weed - currently 48 lbs. of pure play.

Hello, Kona is a beautiful dog. We also have an F1 goldendoodle (8 months old) her name is Lilly Mae. We purchased her from www.jerseydoddles.com. She has been such a joy to have and so smart!! We live not to far from the Maryland line in York, PA. I found your site becasue I was looking for hair cut info. Lilly has had puppy cuts but we are taking her for her first major cut this week. (I hate to do this becasue we like her shaggy but I think it's time!!

Our F1 mini GD Sophie is also from Fox Creek! Her parents are Radar and Darla. I'm glad to see that we're not the only ones who treat our doodle like gold!

My dog Charlie passed away in September. He was a poodle but he looked so much like Kona that If it had not been for the long tail I would have thought he was charlie. I loved every picture laughed and cried. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks in part to Kona's web page we now have a Goldendoodle pup, Murphy. We lost our 15 year old Brittany last year right before Katrina. Our life will probably never be back to "normal" but with Murphy we are enjoying and appreciating a different normal. Thanks for the terrific photos.

Very cute dog! I've never heard of a Goldendoodle before but I'll bet they're very playful and intelligent. I wonder what you get when you cross a Bulldog and a Shitsu? ;-))
