Anyone who has had two or more children knows that the number of photographs of the second child and those that follow falls exponentially. So it apparently was in our family. Though my mother and father loved their new daughter dearly, the picture-taking bug had clearly worn off and we have far fewer pictures of my mother with her in her early years than we have of my mother and me from my first few years. This one, from sometime between late 1946 and early 1947, shows Judy in her baby carriage with me walking along (somewhat crankily) next to her. The setting, is likely 67th Street, the south side of Jackson Park, not far from our apartment.
