My parents were married on April 2, 1938 in the Nozick Synagogue at 6 Twarda Street in Warsaw. The reception followed at my mother’s parents’ apartment. The Nozick Synagogue was the only synagogue in Warsaw (of more than 440) that survived World War II. The Nazis used it a stable and a storehouse for food for their horses.
