Bulli Beach Rock Pool view map

There is a sign at the front of the pool warning people to maintain social distancing. In this case, it's hardly needed. This was the 2nd day of the new year, which is usually the height of summer in Australia however over the Christmas and New Year period we had relatively cool, cloudy, mild and often rainy conditions. On this morning, there was only one person doing laps in the entire pool so there was really no problem in keeping 1.5 m distance.

It would have been nice to have a rather more cheerful shot for the E-M5 Mk II's first day out as lead camera until or unless the E-M1 gets repaired, but to paraphrase an old saying you go to photography with the weather you have, not the weather you want.

It doesn’t seem like swimming weather. The desolate mood is striking. V
