Hey, hardly anyone will remember the original anyway, and my version of the lyrics has more verisimilitude.

Spring has sprung in the antipodes. The day is warm, cloudless and sunny... perhaps just the teeniest smidge too warm for my preferences, but nothing that you can really complain about. The lemon tree in the back yard has begun to flower again, and a good harvest of lemons is likely if we can keep the accursed cockatoos from them.

I say this not to hack off any Irish viewers who are watching as autumn powers up and are busy marking "Next sunny day due" in their March 2021 calendars - well, not ONLY - but because this is one of those "good to be alive days". Now if only that damned virus would sod off and die.
