I can't remember what inspired me to do it, but I decided to turn the macro lens loose on some flowing water. I took a number of shots with varying degrees of frozen motion and although there wasn't much in it I decided that this was the one that I liked the most. It could have something to do with the hole that opened up for no obvious reason in the flow over on the right. Looking at the burst of images the hole was there for less than a second since the burst covered about two seconds and the hole was not there at either the beginning or the end.
Much as we think of water flow as being smooth and consistent, this isn't always the case.
