20150126_002795 Remembering Australia Day, Forgetting Your Keys (Mon 26 Jan)

A Post Office In The Illawarra

We had a long weekend to celebrate Australia Day (the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788), but for some reason I felt uninspired and unmotivated this day. I'd spent a fair amount of time on a photoshoot the day before but today I was feeling "meh".

Too many other things to do, too many things that haven't been finished.

But clearly I'm not going to give up on PADing on day 26 of the year so I still took the camera out. While the original intent was yet another beach shot when I got down to the beach I found a whole bunch of people in tents with Australian flags on them... and really crappy light. So, meh, couldn't be bothered getting a shot there.

On the way back I passed by one of the local post offices and saw... this. There was nobody else anywhere around. There were no contact details on the key ring. There was nothing identifying in the box. Sorry, absent minded person, I can't help you. Somewhere in the Illawarra somebody was spending their Australia Day holiday patting their pockets and looking under the seat of their car muttering "I'm sure I had them here SOMEWHERE..."
