I want to spend a bit of time on my various lenses during the year since the 12-40 will obviously monopolise my mid-week shots.
In this case I took the opportunity to use the 60mm macro to shoot some of the rapidly decaying purple Agapanthus flowers in the early morning sun. I think that I should generally take the time to get out the tripod for these since my hand ain't Ansel Adams level steady. And as I've mentioned previously it will take some time to get a real hang for using this sucker.
My other lenses will get a workout too of course.
When I finally get them, that is. (Regular views will know that the 40-150 f/2.8 is on backorder until who knows when, and the 7-14 f/2.8 pro lens will be released sometime in 2015, maybe.)
(4th day of January and I'm 1 day behind in posting and several behind in commenting. Hey, habit's a hard thing to break...)
