So I was driving around looking for a PAD. And I saw these two kite surfers out in the water. And I thought "Woo-hoo!". And the shots looked good, in sharpness, colour, etc, etc.
Just one small, and I do mean small thing.
They were.
Small, that is. Or at least they are when the image is reduced to 1000 pixels.
Because they're way the heck out there in the water where I don't go, and I'm over here. So I need more zoom, vastly more zoom!
And the long awaited 40-150 lens is still on back-order.
Sigh...
Still, this is the best I can do for now. I doubt that this will be their last kite surf of the summer, but I'd say that the next one will be in the 2015 PAD, not this year's.

Edit 24 Aug 2024: The 40-150 eventually arrived, and became my favourite lens of any that I have ever had.
This image was originally tagged as being at Bulli Beach. Which is true in the sense that it's a beach, and it's in Bulli. However back then I had only recently moved here and did not fully appreciate the geography. This is actually Sandon Point Beach, which is to the north of Bulli Point. Bulli Beach is the one to the south of there.
Finally, since I'm "de-PBasing" my images, the original of this one is now larger than the 1,000 pixels described above.
