There is definitely a learning curve associated with the Olympus 60mm macro. This is at f/7.1. Had you told me before I shot this that that would be the right setting to use I would have been sceptical given that micro 4/3rds sensors do not traditionally do shallow DOFs well and I'd have figured that being that close to f/8 would have me seeing from here to Venus. OK, maybe a tad exaggerated there, but still.
And yet, here it is; the exact DOF that I was after.
OK, so that brings to an end my load of images for Christmas day and for the first time since... probably February I'm actually posting shots for the month in which they were taken with no backlog.
This posting group will be slightly out of order with the ones that I like most right at the end and the more pedestrian, daily "meh" shots further back since they'll probably never be seen anyway.
