I probably should have sent the images from the shoot directly into Photoshop, because this subject was always going to be very questionable in terms of exposure. Had I had the time and inclination I could perhaps have done something rather better than this. However this series is all I had in the way a PAD for this day.

Part of the reason that I was unenthusiastic was that this was one of the hotter days of our summer to date as you can probably guess from the intensity of the light in the background. (Technically this was still in spring, but hot air rarely stops to read a calendar.)

Lucy (a.k.a. El Gato Diablo, The Devil Cat) is no great fan of hot weather either. The almost silhouette of her body language tells the tale of a day when it is just too hot to do anything other than lie on the top of the cat stand and wait for a cool change.

And possibly take rubbish photos.
