It wasn't supposed to be this shot.
Today was supposed to be the second entry in my "Little Shops" series. I was on leave this day and I sensed an opportunity. There's a small cake shop just to the left of here which opens very early every single weekday morning. It has an illuminated Open sign in the door and relatively subtle lighting inside when it first opens. Every. Single. Weekday. Morning.
Except this one.
Also I set out about 10 minutes too late; the sun was already too high in the sky for the shot that I wanted.
Then when I got there I also noticed a sodding No Parking pole standing right in front of the place that my mind had mentally filtered out when I had added it to my mental "shots to take" list.
So I decided to file that one away for another day and shoot a nearby intersection instead. Which, incidentally, would have looked way better had it been soaked in rain but from the sky's appearance that clearly wasn't going to happen today.
And as of 21 December (wow, how did Christmas almost get here so fast...) I'm finally within striking distance of having caught up with posting my PADs. 28 still to tag, process and post (29 after I take today's) which actually seems to be achievable.
