Unfortunately that's literally, not figuratively.
I can't recall a lot of specifics about this shot. I recall thinking that my PADs were getting a bit sporadic again. I recall thinking that this was a spontaneous opportunity. And I recall trying to frame the building with the light pole but for various reasons I couldn't get exactly the right angle. (In the final shot the light touches the building whereas I wanted some gap all the way around.) And I also recall that there was time pressure. If I recall correctly bits of pedestrians appeared in the frame so I had to take the shot just after the lights changed and they all hit the road, as it were.
I'm moderately pleased with the results; in particular with the reflection of the clouds to the east and north, while hardly a one of them appears above the tower itself.
