140228_123322_2622 Who Needs a Selective Colouring Layer? (Fri 28 Feb 14)

Pyrmont Bay Wharves, Pyrmont NSW

The rain that we saw in yesterday's image continued today.

On the first weekend of every month, the local broadsheet newspaper (which is a broadsheet only in name these days, having physically converted to tabloid some months ago) runs a growers' market at Pyrmont.

Here we see the stalls having been set up for the one that is coming up on the following weekend. Almost all of them have white tops which makes this one stand out from the crowd. I have been known, on occasion, to dabble in selective colouring in Photoshop but in this case I figured that I could have the effect without even bothering to add an adjustment layer.

Colourful as that one stall is, it clearly wasn't as appealing as the telephone call being taken by the young woman was walking towards us.

And finally, I've caught up with my February PADs. Since I'm posting this in the first week of July, that means that I now have only four months' worth of photos to process! Yay me!

That really is a cool image. I never guessed Australia could look so drab - that looks like Irish weather.

The photo is very well composed and captured. It captures a sense of disappointment. You can sense that the rain is ruining her plans.
