It's Thursday, 26 June. No, not then; now. Four months after then. That's how long it's taken me to get around to processing this photograph. Which means that any motivation that I obtained from it clearly dissipated over that time.
It was Friday morning, and I had just been for my six monthly checkup at the dentist's. I walked to the bus stop on the other side of the road and as I was waiting I saw the bus that you see here. And the sign on the bus that you see here. And like a sign from the heavens I felt motivated to indeed execute the grand plan that I see the outline of, if not the actual details of. Then budget season at work kicked into high gear and I was working 13 hour days once again for a company which does not deserve it once again, and my vision narrowed once again and nothing but work happened once again.
And this caption is me kicking myself in the backside over it, once again.
However it's now in the PAD so there's no running from it. Every minute must be a new start. As Chris Hadfield would say, you just have to keep inching yourself in the right direction. The grand plan will not happen with a bang. It will happen over a period of time, inch by inch, as long as you keep moving in the right direction which clearly I haven't been. As long as I stop wasting my life on the fine art of being overworked, and underappreciated.
Rant (if one may call it that) over.
