A greyer start to the day than yesterday, but the sun would soon burn the cloud off. One person is already in the Bulli rock pool doing laps on our left, and another is poised for entry on the right.

As part of cost saving plans the local council wanted to either bulldoze some of these rock pools, or "run (them) to fail", meaning that they wouldn't maintain them and just bulldoze them when they became unsafe. That proposal copped the strongest number of objections from local residents, who consider the rock pools which appear every couple of suburbs an essential part of the area's character.
